Version 31 October 2026-v2 · Online registration and affiliate commission policy
Affiliate Terms
Online registration is open. Eligible applicants sign in with their own Google account and submit the online form. The account receives a personal affiliate identifier. Only codes confirmed as issued by Stripe are valid customer discounts.
1. Programme and eligibility
The MERCY Affiliate Programme is operated by MERCY Series Global for marketing the digital edition of The Guide in Malaysia. Applicants must be at least 18, sign in with a verified Google account, provide truthful contact details and accept the programme terms. Standard registration is online and self-service, subject to identity, eligibility, fraud and legal compliance checks. Special community benefits require separate private evidence review and owner approval. Acceptance does not create an employment relationship, guarantee income or confer publishing rights.
2. No fee or recruitment commissions
There is no joining fee, inventory purchase requirement or payment for introducing new affiliates. Commissions arise solely from eligible, independently verified purchases of the actual digital app. There is no multi-level commission, downline or recruitment bonus.
2A. Free affiliate app version
Every registered affiliate receives one free personal copy of The Guide App, marked “Affiliate version — Not for sale”. Existing affiliates receive the same benefit through their dashboard. No app purchase is required.
Your free affiliate copy is personal and cannot be resold, transferred or gifted. Customer purchases and paid gift copies use the normal checkout. The usual serial, email sign-in and two-device / one-active-reader controls apply.
The free copy is assigned to the registered affiliate account and labelled “Affiliate version — Not for sale”. It has no resale, redistribution or publishing rights and generates no purchase commission or purchase-referral reward. Commissions remain available from eligible customer purchases through the affiliate’s own sales link. Refreshing the account or requesting delivery again does not create additional free copies.
3. Price and commission formula
The digital list price is RM16. An affiliate may share their personal link at full price or offer an account-owned RM1–RM7 discount code. Commission is calculated from the amount actually paid after the actual payment-processing fee. The publisher receives at most RM5. If allocating RM5 would leave the affiliate with an equal or smaller amount, the publisher’s share is reduced so the affiliate receives more, calculated in whole sen. For a positive eligible net amount, the publisher’s share is the smaller of 500 sen and the net amount minus one sen, divided by two and rounded down; the affiliate receives the remainder. The allocation is before either party’s other taxes or expenses.
For example, a RM16 sale with a RM1.48 processing fee gives the affiliate RM9.52 and the publisher RM5. A RM9 sale with a RM1.27 fee gives the affiliate RM3.87 and the publisher RM3.86. These examples use an assumed 3% + RM1 fee; actual fees can differ. No commission is earned from a click, registration or abandoned checkout. Discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly authorised.
3A. Verified OKU and institution benefits
Approved OKU affiliates and approved active orphanages or orphan schools receive 100% of verified clean profit from eligible attributed sales made after approval, while their benefit remains valid. Clean profit means the amount actually received for that sale less the actual Stripe fee and confirmed applicable tax deductions. The publisher retains RM0 from those eligible sales. Coupons reduce the sale amount; fees, tax, refunds, disputes and anti-fraud checks can change or prevent a payout. No fixed income is guaranteed. This special rule replaces the standard publisher allocation only for an approved beneficiary’s eligible sales; it does not automatically reprice earlier sales.
Applicants must use the private community-access form, explicitly consent to necessary evidence processing and provide truthful proof. OKU applications require a readable OKU card and authorised submission by the cardholder or a parent/legal guardian. An institution’s authorised adult representative must provide registration or relevant operating authorisation and current operating evidence. Owner review is required; file scanning does not establish government authenticity. Institutions must use a bank account in the verified institution’s registered name and renew evidence when approval expires. Benefits may be suspended or revoked if proof is invalid or eligibility changes.
An approved OKU cardholder may separately receive one free personal app copy, issued to the verified applicant’s email. A guardian may manage the application and access for the cardholder. This free copy cannot be sold or gifted, generates no affiliate commission, and remains subject to the app’s serial, email sign-in and device controls. Duplicate claims are not eligible. A rejection can be corrected and resubmitted, or referred to support for review.
Daily payout review and preparation take place at 10:00 PM Malaysia time. This schedule does not guarantee bank receipt at that time. Actual Stripe fees, tax confirmation, available funds and bank processing must be reconciled before transfer.
3B. Active UiTM Faculty of Pharmacy affiliates
Active students and staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), may apply for 100% of verified clean profit from their eligible affiliate sales. Clean profit is the amount actually received less actual Stripe fees and confirmed applicable tax deductions. The publisher retains RM0. The enhanced rate begins after private owner approval and applies prospectively while verified active eligibility remains valid. It does not reprice earlier sales. Coupons, payment verification, tax confirmation, refunds, disputes and anti-fraud checks continue to apply.
Applicants register their own affiliate account, then submit one or two current student / staff cards or other official documents through the authenticated proof form. Evidence must establish the applicant’s name, Faculty of Pharmacy affiliation and active student or staff status. A UiTM email or university-only card is insufficient by itself. Owner review must confirm faculty and active status; approval has a review expiry no later than the verified active status end. Renew when required and report any end of active eligibility. Other faculties, alumni and former staff remain subject to standard programme eligibility. Standard age and agreement requirements apply.
This is an independent MERCY programme for eligible affiliates. It is not an official UiTM programme or university endorsement. Problems and review requests may be raised through the private support form; eligibility documents must stay in the separate secure proof form.
4. Attribution and payment reconciliation
The checkout service must record the affiliate ID and, if used, the corresponding coupon ownership when an order is created; a payment must be verified by Stripe's server notification. Each purchase may produce only one commission. Attribution must not expose the purchaser's private activation serial or Google identity. Commissions may be held for a verification and refund period. Affiliates may save DuitNow or bank payout details in their authenticated dashboard and request processing. A request does not itself transfer funds. The dashboard shows any confirmed processing schedule; completion depends on verified eligible earnings, available funds and bank processing. Registering does not itself earn or guarantee commission. The affiliate can request an individually identified coupon only after successful registration, and each coupon must be associated with that same affiliate ID.
5. Refunds, reversals and misconduct
Refunded, reversed, fraudulent, disputed, self-referred or duplicate orders are not eligible for commission. Overpayments and reversed commissions may be deducted from later payouts, subject to applicable law. Attempts to impersonate MERCY, mislead customers, spoof attribution, share activation serials, abuse coupons or use bots may result in suspension and review.
6. Marketing standards and consumer information
Affiliates must disclose that they receive a commission; describe the book and its price accurately; make no false health, educational, commercial, religious or Amazon ranking guarantees; avoid spam and unsolicited commercial contact; comply with applicable marketing, privacy and consumer-protection law; and respect intellectual property. Actual discounted prices must be visible and confirmed before the customer pays. Affiliates are independent promoters, not authorised to collect cash, issue serials or make commitments on the publisher's behalf.
7. In-person sales and legal clearance
Door-to-door, in-person solicitation, direct selling and related activity may be governed by the Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Scheme Act 1993 (Act 500), including licensing requirements. No such activity is authorised by these terms until the business has confirmed with KPDN whether the planned activity requires licensing and obtained any required approval. This document is not evidence of a direct-sales licence.
8. Personal data and payments
Application and payout information are processed only as described in the privacy notice. No private bank account or identity document should be sent through public share links, ordinary referral messages or the standard registration form. Special-benefit evidence must use the authenticated private community-access form. Payout information must be submitted through the authenticated payout form. Tax obligations depend on individual circumstances; participants should keep commission records and seek suitable professional advice.
9. Changes and termination
We may suspend new registrations or sales for security or legal compliance checks even though standard registration is self-service. Material programme rule changes require updated published terms and appropriate notification/consent for existing participants; accrued, approved obligations will be handled fairly and according to applicable law. Either party may end participation, subject to reconciliation of eligible outstanding commissions.
10. Contact and governing law
Contact shahir@mercyseries.com for queries or disputes. These terms are intended for Malaysia and must be reviewed for applicable Malaysian law before activation. They do not exclude statutory consumer, privacy or other legal rights.
Source guidance for compliance review: Act 500, PDPA, and 2024 electronic trade regulations.
KKM staff clean-profit benefit
Active Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia staff may upload proof for private eligibility review. After approval, eligible sales made while the approval is valid receive 100% of verified clean profit: actual receipts less actual Stripe fees and confirmed applicable tax. The publisher receives RM0. Registration alone does not activate this rate. Approval has a review expiry and may require renewal; suspension, expiry or revocation can hold payouts. Coupons from RM1 to RM7 off are optional, and no-discount sales are also available. Refund, dispute and genuine-sale checks continue to apply.
